Everything you need to know before visiting the 2024 Grey Cup Festival.

What amenities are available for accessibility at the Grey Cup Festival?

All Grey Cup Festival event spaces are designed to provide an environment free of barriers, with accessible doorways, open spaces, low grade ramps and passenger elevators to create easy access for guests using wheelchairs, other mobility devices and strollers.

Can I bring my own food to the Grey Cup Festival?

Outside food is permitted at the Save-On Foods Street Festival and PlayNow Sports Backyard Party. All other event spaces do not allow outside food or drink unless there is a specific dietary or medical need that cannot be met by service providers at the venue.

Will there be an umbrella, bag, or coat check available at the Grey Cup Festival?

Coat Check

  • There will be a coat check in the Vancouver Convention Centre West.  
  • There is not a coat check at the Vancouver Convention Centre East.  

Umbrella Check

  • Umbrellas can be checked at coat check

Bag Check

  • For all events in and around the Vancouver Convention Centre West, there is a Bag Check located at the underground parking lot at 1038 Canada Place Way and a Coat Check located in Room 101. Bags that do not meet the Bag Policy restrictions will not be permitted in the building. They will have to be checked at the Bag Check.

BC Place

  • For all events in and around BC Place Stadium, there will be a Bag Check located at the bottom of the stairs below Gate C. There is no coat check. Umbrella bags will be available upon entry to the stadium for the championship game.
Will there be parking available near the festival site?

Everyone is encouraged to take public transit to any 2024 Grey Cup Festival event and the 111th Grey Cup. There is very limited restricted street parking and parkades around the event sites that are filled on a first come first serve basis. There is no guarantee there will be event parking near the event space.

Note that the Vancouver Convention Centre West parkade is closed. No parking permitted.

What should I know about the RBC Harbour Zipline and Carstar Street Zipline experience at the 2024 Grey Cup Festival?
  • Zipline rides are free for fans.  
  • Registration is first come first served. Riders will need to choose which zipline they want to ride during registration.  
  • Queuing for the Ziplines will start at the railing behind the Welcome Centre at Canada Place located at 926 Canada Place. We encourage guests to arrive early as it is first come, first serve. The ziplines can process approximately 100 people per hour using all four outside lines as long as there are no delays (this does not include the inside Zipline inside Canada Place). Please allow for 1 hour of wait time per 100 people. There is no holding spots in line for other people. All members of your party must wait in line.
  • Rider Weight Restrictions: Minimum 75lbs / Maximum 275lbs  
  • Rider Height Restrictions: None, so long as weight restrictions are met.  
  • Hours of operation are November 13 (4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. / last rider registration at 7:30 p.m.), November 14 to 16 (11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. / last rider registration at 8:30 p.m.)
Are there any age restrictions for attending the Grey Cup Festival?

All ticketed events at the Vancouver Convention Centre West require guests to be 19 years of age or older.  

The Save-On Foods Street Festival on Canada Place Way and inside Canada Place (Vancouver Convention Centre East) is an all ages event.  

Gameday events located inside and outside BC Place Stadium are all ages (Lordco Auto Parts Block Party, PlayNow Sports Backyard Street Party, 111th Grey Cup game).

Where can I buy official Grey Cup Festival merchandise?

111th Grey Cup and 2024 Grey Cup Festival merchandise will be available at New Era Grey Cup Shops.

What payment methods are accepted?

The 2024 Grey Cup Festival is cash-free.

What amenities are available for accessibility at the Grey Cup Festival?

All Grey Cup Festival event spaces are designed to provide an environment free of barriers, with accessible doorways, open spaces, low grade ramps and passenger elevators to create easy access for guests using wheelchairs, other mobility devices and strollers.

What items are prohibited at the Grey Cup Festival? 

The following items are NOT permitted in the event space:

  • Aerosol containers of any kind
  • Animals. Only service dogs are permitted.
  • Artificial noise makers, including megaphones and air horns
  • Coolers
  • Drones
  • Flag poles or poles/long sticks of any kind
  • Gas masks
  • Glass of any kind
  • Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia
  • Laser pointers of any kind
  • Markers, pens or spray paint
  • Bluetooth speakers
  • Outside food & beverage
  • Outside liquor
  • Pocketknives of any kind
  • Professional audio, video or photography equipment (no detachable lenses, tripods, zoom lens 2 inches or greater, and/or commercial use camera assemblies)
  • Pyrotechnics of any kind, including fireworks, sparklers or firecrackers
  • Selfie Sticks or GoPro apparatus
  • Skateboards, rollerblades, roller skates, scooters, wheeled or motorized items intended to be ridden
  • Sports equipment (i.e., Frisbees, etc.)
  • Tactical clothing or equipment
  • Tents
  • Walking sticks or canes of any kind unless it is a medically required mobility device
  • Weapons of any kind and/or items that can be used as a weapon, including but not limited to large spikes, heavy wallet chains, bats/clubs, etc.

Any other item deemed unsafe by event management.  

Are strollers allowed at the Grey Cup Festival?

Strollers are permitted at our outdoor event spaces. However, we discourage bringing them as it may be difficult to maneuver them in crowded spaces and between the street and sidewalks. We recommend using child carriers instead.

BC Place Stadium permits strollers and offers a stroller check-in at Section 229.

The Vancouver Convention Centre permits strollers, though space is limited and strollers are discouraged if not necessary.

What roads will be closed during the Grey Cup Festival?

Canada Place Way from Howe Street to Thurlow Street, with the exception of hotel guests accessing the Pan Pacific Hotel and Fairmont Waterfront via Howe Street and Cordova Street.  

Pacific Boulevard between Smithe Street and Abbott Street, with the exception of JW Marriott and The Douglas Hotel guests.
