Felix Cartal Ready to Rock at Official Grey Cup Festival Kickoff Party, Drone Show Rescheduled for Friday November 15

[VANCOUVER,BC] – With one sleep remaining, the anticipation of the official public opening of the 2024 Grey Cup Festival is palpable in downtown Vancouver, as event organizers put the finishing touches on the massive festival footprint which includes both the Vancouver Convention Centre east and west buildings, Canada Pl between Howe Street and Thurlow Street, and later into the weekend will include BC Place.

Starting the festivities off on an electric note at the official Kickoff Party presented by PCI Developments tomorrow evening, fans will be treated to a special arrival of the Grey Cup trophy, along with a high-energy live performance from homegrown, globally acclaimed DJ, Felix Cartal. The Kickoff Party will takeplace at the Payworks Entertainment Stage (Save-On-Foods Street Festival /Canada Pl) from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Due to forecasted weather which has the potential to impact drone show safety, the previously scheduled kickoff finale—the Grey Cup Drone Show presented by Destination Vancouver—has been rescheduled to Friday, November 15 at 9:30p.m., with no changes to launch location or recommended viewpoints. The visually stunning show will now be visible on Friday from the Coal Harbour waterfront and seawall from the Vancouver Convention Centre West to the Westin Bayshore Hotel.
